- The School in Session : The New Academic Session starts from the 1st week of April every year. The school breaks for vacation during the Summer month, the Dussera festival and for Pongal.
- Daily Schedule : The school time table provides instruction for eight periods of 35/40 minutes duration for five days a week (Monday to Friday). The school functions for more than 200 working days per year.
The school timings on all working days are : 8.00 a.m. TO 2.15 p.m.
- Scheme of Examination & Evaluation : The school follows the Examination system as suitable at various levels.
For Classes I to V : 1) No Examination 2) Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation in three phases
For Classes VI to VIII : The School follows the two Semester System (I - Sem : April to Sept., II - Sem. : October to March)
For Classes-IX - XII : The school has two exams in a year. (Half yearly Exams - September and Annual Exams (C.B.S.E. Board Exams in March)
- Monday Test: As a process of continuous assessment weekly tests are conducted on every Monday.
In addition to these Class-X & XII also have a I-Term Exam in the month of July, I-Preboard in December, & II-Preboard in January.
Evaluation is based on the candidate's continuous academic performance throughout the year including his/her performance in the Monday Tests.
The school has resorted to the Grade System instead of marks, as per the C.B.S.E. guidelines, to discourage unhealthy competition among the students and to reduce the stressful conditions for low achievers.
- Remedial Classes : Systematically organized remedial classes are conducted for slow learners and low achievers (Classes-I to X) who are identified on the basis of their performance in Monday Test/Semester Exam.
- Extra classes: Special classes are conducted for class XI & XII on Saturdays.
- Monthly Assignments: Monthly assignments are regularly given to reinforce learning skills beyond the classroom level.
- NTSE Coaching : Special classes are held after school hours to coach student for appearing in the N.T.S.E. Examinations held every year. The results are self explanatory and reflect the dedication and commitment the school has towards empowering the students to face higher challenges.
- Parent Teacher Interaction : The school makes it convenient for parents to meet the teachers and discuss the performance of their wards by having regular P.T.A.'s. Besides this the parents can interact through the Almanac or seek permission to meet by taking Prior appointment.
- Visiting hours to meet the Principal on all working days are : 3.15 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
The school publishes periodically a News Letter,'SUMMIT' that keeps the parents informed about the school's achievements and developments.
