FACULTY :

The faculty of D.P.S., Visakhapatnam consists of full time highly qualified and competent teachers who have extensive teaching experience in their respective fields.

STUDENT BODY :

The school has an enviable strength of 2000 students on rolls from Class-I to XII.
DPS believes that todays students are tomorrrows leaders and that leaders are not born but can be made. We have ensured this by appointing a Student Council comprising President, Head Boy, Head Girl,Captains and Vice Captains of various houses etc.

The school follows the NCERT Curriculum as prescribed by the CB.S.E. Board. The Curriculum lays strong emphasis on all academic subjects.

SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL : CLASSES XI & XII


In the XI and XII grade students prepare for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (A I.S.S.CE.) also conducted by CB.S.E.

The school Offers the folowing streams at +2 level

Science : English (Core), Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, ComputerScience.

Commerce : English (Core), Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Maths/Informatic Practice

Humanities : English (Core) and Economics, and any three from the following - History, Sociology, Political Science, Maths, Geography Informatic Practice and Physical Education

In addition to the above subjects Environmental Education & Computer Education are compulsory from classes I TO XII

SOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCTIVE WORK (SUPW):

It includes art, music, dance and physical education as part of the curriculum.
